Source

Source should be available to comply with open source standards.

We could create packages of source code, to allow for ease of download.

If the binary package file is called:

bind-9.4.2,REV=2008.07.09_rev=p1-SunOS5.8-sparc-CSW.pkg.gz

Then the source package for it could be called:

bind-9.4.2,REV=2008.07.09_rev=p1-SunOS5.8-sparc-CSW-src.pkg.gz

It will install files under /opt/csw/share/src/<pkgname>, in the example above /opt/csw/share/src/bind. No files can be outside this place.

We might make a parallel source tree, with its own valid catalog, to make it even easier to download. This could be potentially very useful, for future "automated build" scripts, that could then pull source, and required dependancy source, to build.
